Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all services offered by SkillBase Labs and SkillBase Ballistics (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By booking a service or session, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General Billing Structure

  • All services are billed on an hourly basis, unless otherwise stated.

  • Certain services may require a refundable or non-refundable deposit, depending on the nature of the service.

  • Deposit requirements and amounts will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

 

2. Deposits

2.1 Refundable Deposits

Where a deposit is specified as refundable, it may be refunded only if all applicable conditions are met, as outlined for the specific service.

2.2 Non-Refundable Deposits

Some deposits are non-refundable due to time allocation, preparation, or resource commitment. This will be explicitly stated at the time of booking.

3. Sample Preparation Services

For sample preparation services, the following refund rules apply:

  • If the client supplies all required reagents, consumables, and materials as agreed in advance, the full deposit will be refunded after the service is completed.

  • If any reagents or consumables must be supplied by SkillBase Labs, the deposit will be retained to cover procurement and preparation costs.

  • If reagent costs exceed the value of the deposit, the client will be invoiced for the additional amount, which must be settled before results or samples are released.

It is the client’s responsibility to confirm reagent availability and specifications prior to the start of the service.

4. Cancellations

  • Cancellations must be made within the timeframe communicated at booking to be eligible for any refund.

  • Late cancellations or failure to attend a scheduled service may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Time already spent on preparation, planning, or execution is not refundable.

 

5. Refunds for Hourly Services

  • Fees are charged for time already worked and are non-refundable once the service has commenced.

  • Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction arising from scope changes, client delays, or incomplete information provided by the client.

 

6. Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be considered at our discretion in exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Cancellation by SkillBase Labs

  • Unavoidable operational or safety-related issues

Any such refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

 

7. Method of Refund

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
