These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SkillBase Labs and SkillBase Ballistics website and participation in any services, activities, or shooting sessions offered by us (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing this website or participating in any session, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services Offered

SkillBase Ballistics provides supervised recreational shooting experiences and related activities. SkillBase Labs provides laboratory training, consulting, and related educational services.

All services are subject to availability, safety requirements, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

2. Eligibility and Participation

  • Participants must meet the minimum age requirements communicated at the time of booking.

  • No prior shooting experience is required unless explicitly stated.

  • Participants must be physically and mentally fit to safely participate.

  • We reserve the right to refuse participation to any person who poses a safety risk or fails to follow instructions.

 

3. Safety and Conduct

  • All participants must comply with safety briefings and instructions given by staff at all times.

  • Firearms are handled under strict supervision only.

  • Any unsafe behaviour, intoxication, or failure to follow instructions will result in immediate removal from the session without refund.

  • The Company reserves the right to terminate a session at any time in the interest of safety.

 

4. Licences, Firearms, and Equipment

  • Participants are not required to hold a firearm licence to participate in supervised sessions.

  • All firearms, ammunition, and protective equipment are provided unless otherwise stated.

  • Personal firearms or ammunition may only be used with prior approval.

 

5. Bookings and Payments

  • Bookings are subject to confirmation. Requires deposit of R150, that may be refunded or deducted from the total payable amount to SBB.

  • Payment terms, pricing, and cancellation policies will be communicated at the time of booking.

  • Failure to arrive on time may result in reduced session time without refund.

 

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation terms vary depending on the service booked and will be communicated during the booking process.

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations outside the agreed cancellation window or for removal due to safety violations.

  • The Company reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions due to safety, weather, equipment issues, or unforeseen circumstances.

 

7. Assumption of Risk

Participation in shooting activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to noise exposure, recoil, physical strain, and the use of firearms.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to take responsibility for your own conduct and well-being.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • SkillBase Labs and SkillBase Ballistics shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation, except where caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

  • Participants indemnify the Company against any claims arising from their own actions or failure to follow instructions.

 

9. Photography and Media

  • Photographs or videos may be taken during sessions for promotional or educational purposes.

  • Participation implies consent unless you explicitly opt out in writing prior to the session.

 

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, text, images, and materials remain the intellectual property of SkillBase Labs and SkillBase Ballistics unless otherwise stated.

No content may be copied or used without prior written permission.

 

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

 

12. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
